For the year of 2017 I decided to skip on the whole "New Year's Resolutions" fad. Instead, I set a goal to become more relaxed and calm. I didn't care whether or not I accomplished it that year or not, and it's not a "resolution" akin to others I've done in the past; those were forgotten and never accomplished. This time, I put this up on my website to keep me focused on it. I'll update this page with any progress once I realize that I've made tangible progress.
So far, the only physical thing I've done for this has been getting a massage. It definitely relaxed my muscles for the rest of the day, and hopefully I'll be able to get another one soon. Mentally, however, I've changed my mindset to one that is more "at peace" with things as they are; I am trying to accept things and see the beauty in everything.
I also worked a lot on being less tense about things in general and having a level mind. I think I made good progress during 2017.
